About the Role:
NHP is looking for an experienced
Business Development – Automation Specialist to join our Sydney Sales team.
Working with leading brands such as Rockwell Automation, this role combines industrial automation knowledge, commercial sales capability and customer focus to deliver tailored solutions across NHP’s Electrical and Automation product portfolio.
You will join a high-performance sales environment where initiative, accountability and results matter, with responsibility for developing new business, strengthening customer engagement and driving growth across End Users, System Integrators and OEMs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and managing short and long-term project sales strategies to build a strong sales pipeline.
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships across assigned accounts, including End Users, System Integrators, OEMs, EPCs and Consultants.
- Using a solution-selling approach to understand customer needs, influence specifications and identify target projects in partnership with NHP’s Technology team.
- Applying technical knowledge and a strong understanding of industrial automation, industrial software, control systems and motor control/MCCs across relevant market segments.
- Maintaining meaningful contact with existing and prospective customers through strong product knowledge, market insight and customer focus.
Ideally you will have / be:
- 3–5 years’ experience in industrial automation, electrical or related technical sales environments
- Strong understanding of End Users, System Integrators and OEMs
- Experience in solution selling, customer engagement and opportunity development
- Mechatronics and/or Electrical qualifications
- A proactive, go-getter mindset with strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and contribute to a high-performance team environment
