- The planning and performance engine behind the Technology function
This role owns integrated financial, operational and strategic planning across icare's Technology function - connecting investment, workforce capacity and delivery priorities, and giving executive leaders the visibility to invest and prioritise with confidence.
About the role
You'll be the central coordination point for technology performance - the single source of truth that brings together financial investment, workforce capacity and delivery priorities.
You'll lead budgeting, forecasting and reporting, own planning governance, and turn operational and financial data into the insight that shapes where Technology spends its time and money.
It's a role for someone who can sit across finance, delivery and platform leaders, make the planning machinery run cleanly, and produce the executive and board-level reporting that decisions are built on.
The scope
- Integrated planning across the entire Technology function
- Up to 6 direct reports - ICT Finance Lead, Technology Reporting Lead, Workflow Automation Specialist and Operational Reporting Specialists
- Business owner of technology workflow tooling and configuration
- Planning coordination across all three delivery portfolios
What you'll do
- Lead Technology strategic ongoing roadmap working with Technology LT and schemes to align to ongoing business outcomes
- Support technology LT in ongoing engagement with Executives.
- Lead technology financial management - budgeting, forecasting, accruals, cost tracking and financial governance - in partnership with finance
- Coordinate operational planning cycles so workforce demand, financial planning and delivery priorities stay aligned
- Provide executive-level reporting and insight on workforce metrics, utilisation, capacity, delivery performance and financials
- Produce high-quality executive communications, papers and board reporting, including GET papers
- Establish and maintain operational governance, controls and processes across financial management and reporting
- Partner with delivery, platform and portfolio leaders to support planning across technology initiatives
- Develop the integrated delivery roadmap across all three portfolios for enterprise delivery visibility
- Own workflow tooling and configuration so it enables Technology's ways of working, frameworks and reporting
What you'll bring
- 10+ years in technology strategy, strategic planning, financial management or portfolio management within complex enterprise environments
- Proven experience leading integrated planning, budgeting and forecasting across large technology or delivery functions
- The ability to turn financial and operational data into insight that senior leaders act on
- Strong governance discipline - controls, compliance and reporting obligations handled cleanly
- Stakeholder skills to partner credibly across technology, delivery and finance leadership
