Green Valley Support Services is a registered NDIS provider committed to delivering person-centred, high-quality supports to people living with disability across the Hunter Region. We are currently seeking an experienced Female Disability Support Worker to support female participants with Intellectual Disability in the Maitland and Cessnock areas.
About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide compassionate, respectful, and individualised support that promotes independence, wellbeing, and community participation. You will work closely with participants, their families, and the broader support team to ensure supports are delivered in line with each participant's goals and NDIS plan.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing personal care while maintaining dignity and privacy.
- Supporting participants with daily living activities and independent living skills.
- Assisting with community access, social outings, appointments, and recreational activities.
- Providing transport using your own reliable vehicle.
- Supporting participants to build communication, confidence, and life skills.
- Implementing Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) and Positive Behaviour Support strategies where required.
- Completing accurate progress notes, incident reports, and other documentation.
- Promoting participants' choice, independence, and inclusion in everyday activities.
- Working collaboratively with families, coordinators, allied health professionals, and the clinical team.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in supporting people with Intellectual Disability.
- Patient, empathetic, and genuinely passionate about making a positive difference.
- An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, flexible, and committed to delivering quality supports.
- Able to work independently while also contributing to a supportive team environment.
- Comfortable travelling throughout the Hunter Region.
Experience supporting participants with behaviours of concern and implementing Positive Behaviour Support strategies will be highly regarded.
Essential Requirements
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
- Current Australian Driver Licence.
- Reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle.
- Smartphone for rostering and documentation.
- Full Australian working rights.

Pay: $43.23 – $78.00 per hour
