The Office of the Auditor General for Western Australia (OAG) is seeking experienced auditors to join our Financial Audit team on short-term contracts through to December.

About the opportunities
We are establishing a short-term talent register of Auditors and Audit Managers to support us during our peak season, with fixed term contracts commencing from July through to December 2026.
You will get exposure working directly on client sites across Perth and may travel to regional WA.
Auditors (Level 3) contribute to audit delivery, applying their technical knowledge and working closely with team members to meet deadlines.
Audit Managers (Level 6) lead the delivery of audits, manage teams, and build effective client relationships. They oversee audit planning and execution, guide and review team outputs, and provide clear direction to ensure high-quality outcomes.
You will bring:
- Experience in external financial auditing
- Strong understanding of accounting and auditing standards
- Analytical thinking and sound judgement
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments.
For the Audit Manager (Level 6) role, you will also demonstrate:
- Experience leading audit teams and managing staff
- Ability to oversee multiple engagements and competing priorities
- Confidence in engaging with senior stakeholders and resolving issues
- Membership of a recognised professional accounting body (e.g. CPA Australia or CA ANZ).
