About the Opportunity
This encompasses working with a small team of Trade staff, liaising with other staff, to support the delivery of ethical and cost effective electrical services in a timely manner, across the district. You may be required to work at other hospitals, Community Centers and other facilities.
In this role you will:

Undertake routine testing of Emergency Power Systems in accordance with Australian Standards.

Assist with the development of Disruption Notices for any planned works resulting in disruption to normal.

Carry out electrical repairs including diagnosing faults, liaising with suppliers regarding parts and repairs, maintaining and ordering replacement components to ensure minimum disruptions to patient care in accordance with relevant standards and legislative requirements.

Timely completion of relevant work management dockets including completion/sign off of appropriate.

About You
We are looking for someone who has:

Electrical Trade qualifications relevant to this position and a current Electrical Contractor Licence or Qualified Supervisors Certificate and maintain the currency of this licence. You will also need a current unrestricted NSW drivers licence, a current White Card and the ability to participate in an on-call roster and be available for afterhours call backs.

A working knowledge of relevant Australian Standards including but not limited to AS3000 and AS3003 and the ability to interpret and utilise electrical wiring and schematic drawings in equipment installation and repairs. You will also need demonstrated knowledge of computerised Building Management Systems.

Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience with installation/ maintenance of electrical equipment and reticulation, in a commercial building environment.

Proven ability to work with a multidisciplinary team of trade, non-trade and contract staff.
