Norwest Chess Academy & Club is seeking responsible and punctual individuals who want to positively impact children's lives through the game of chess.
You don't have to be a chess master. What we value most is your passion for teaching and love for chess.
Your Role will Involve:
* Preparing lessons in advance.
* Teaching chess to children aged 5 - 18 in primary schools between 3:00pm - 6:00pm.
* Providing leadership and supervision to create a safe and engaging learning environment.
* Reviewing students' workbooks and updating shared working files.
* Communicating with parents to address any questions or concerns.
Requirements:
* This is a long-term position. We are looking for someone reliable, committed, and available for ongoing work.
* Education/Tutor/Coach experience preferred.
* Organizing your own transport (car preferred) and being punctual to classes.
* ACF/Chess.com/Lichess.org rating of 1500 to 2000 (enthusiastic candidates rated 1000 - 1499 may be accepted with a commitment to further chess study and training)
* Strong desire to teach and motivate children.
* Good communication skills.
* Working with Children Check.
* Australian work rights are required for this position.
