An established, high performing tutoring services business is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable HSC Biology Tutor & Teaching Assistant to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a Teacher, Teachers aide, tutor, or aspiring educator who wants to develop their teaching skills while working alongside a tight-knit team of tutors.
The role will initially focus on supporting their students and teaching team through resource development, student support, and curriculum assistance, with a clear pathway to independently delivering classes as your skills and confidence develop.
Responsibilities
In the initial part-time phase (approximately 20–30 hours per week), you will:
- Assist with the creation of high-quality HSC Biology resources, including exams, homework, lesson materials, and marking criteria
- Support students with Biology content questions and academic enquiries
- Assist students with schoolwork, assignments, and exam preparation
- Help refine learning materials to ensure they align with the NSW HSC Biology syllabus
- Work closely with experienced educators to improve teaching resources and student outcomes
As you develop within the role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Independently manage and improve Biology resources
- Run small-group support sessions
- Take ownership of student learning outcomes
- Progress into independently teaching your own HSC Biology classes of up to 30 students

About you
You may be a current Teacher, Teachers aide, tutor, or aspiring educator who:
- Has a strong understanding of HSC Biology and the NSW Biology syllabus
- Enjoys helping students learn and develop confidence
- Has excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Is passionate about education and continuous improvement
- Is eager to develop their teaching ability and take on greater responsibility over time
