What’s the role?
You’ll take ownership of how privacy frameworks are designed, implemented and continuously improved across the organisation. This role is focused on turning intent into action, uplifting standards, strengthening governance and embedding practical controls that drive real risk outcomes.
You’ll work closely with teams across business, risk, technology and compliance to identify gaps, lead remediation activity and ensure frameworks reflect both regulatory obligations and business needs. You’ll also engage senior stakeholders, bringing them on the journey, incorporating their feedback and influencing outcomes at Director, Executive Manager and GM level.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, challenging thinking and delivering meaningful improvements. You’ll contribute to building a more mature, consistent and outcome focused privacy environment across the bank.
This is a full-time role based in Sydney with flexible working arrangements available .
What do I need?
- Experience designing, implementing and improving privacy frameworks, policies and governance controls
- Strong experience in privacy, risk, compliance or governance within a complex environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of privacy laws, regulatory obligations and industry frameworks, including the Privacy Act, APRA prudential standards, and relevant global privacy frameworks
- Ability to translate business challenges into practical framework and policy solutions
- Strong communications and stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging and influencing senior leaders
- Ability to work autonomously, take ownership and communicate clearly in complex situations
