Skills and Experience Required
*Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene (or equivalent) that is recognised by the Dental Board of Australia
*Registration with the Dental Board of Australia (AHPRA)
*At least 3 years experience working as a Dental Hygienist
Tasks & responsibilities
*Diagnose and treat periodontal conditions, including taking a health history and dental charting
*Work in partnership with the dentists in diagnosis and treatment planning of patients to maintain or restore oral health
*Administer local anaesthetic, dental radiographs and digital scans
*Assist in providing orthodontic treatment (braces and clear aligners) - training provided
*Communicate and educate patients on oral hygiene and prevention strategies
*Supervisory and training responsibilities to dental assistants
We are a growing practice, using State-of-the-art Dental Operatory Equipment & Design e.g. Digital Radiography (including in-house OPG unit), Intraoral Cameras, Digital Scanner.
This is a permanent full time position.
