About the opportunity
We are seeking a Category Manager – Operations and Corporate to join our Procurement team. Reporting to the Lead Procurement Manager, you will lead strategic procurement and category management across a diverse indirect spend portfolio, delivering value through commercial insight, effective sourcing, and strong supplier partnerships.
Working closely with stakeholders, you will drive fit-for-purpose outcomes aligned to business priorities while ensuring compliance with procurement governance and risk frameworks.
Key accountabilities include:
Develop and implement category strategies aligned to business objectives.
Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including RFx processes and negotiations.
Provide commercial insights to support informed decision-making.
Partner with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver outcomes.
Identify and realise cost optimisation, value creation, and innovation opportunities.
About you
You are a commercially minded procurement professional with strong category management experience gained within a complex organisation. You bring a strategic approach to sourcing, a passion for delivering value, and the ability to build trusted relationships across the business.
Comfortable working within governance frameworks, you provide clear, risk-informed commercial advice and use data-driven insights to support decision-making and achieve sustainable outcomes.
You will bring:
Proven experience developing and executing category strategies across indirect spend categories.
Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and relationship management capabilities.
Demonstrated success leading end-to-end sourcing activities, including RFx processes and negotiations.
Ability to deliver value through cost optimisation, innovation, demand management and total cost of ownership improvements.
Well-developed analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with procurement certification and contract management knowledge desirable.
