Queensland Childcare Services (QCCS), we're looking for an experienced and passionate
Area Manager to join our leadership team and oversee a portfolio of established early learning services across
South Brisbane and the Logan region.
This is an influential leadership role where you'll have the autonomy to make a difference, the support of an experienced leadership team behind you, and the opportunity to directly influence the quality, culture and continued success of your services.

Full Time: Monday–Friday | 38 hours with flexibility

YOUR IMPACT As an Area Manager, you won't simply oversee services — you'll be a
coach, mentor, problem-solver and trusted operational partner to our Centre Directors and leadership teams.
You'll be visible within your services, building relationships, developing capable leaders and working alongside your teams to achieve exceptional outcomes for children, families, educators and the wider QCCS community.
You will:
- Coach, mentor and empower Centre Directors and leadership teams.
- Build strong, capable and accountable service leaders.
- Drive excellence across quality, compliance, occupancy and operational performance.
- Identify opportunities for service growth and continuous improvement.
- Support services to maintain compliance with the National Quality Framework, National Law and Regulations.
- Monitor service performance and work collaboratively with Centre Directors to achieve operational goals.
- Develop and facilitate leadership training, mentoring and professional development opportunities.
- Provide practical, hands-on leadership during periods of change, transition or additional support.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, high expectations and continuous improvement.
- Regularly visit and support your portfolio of QCCS services across the South Brisbane and Logan region.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR We're looking for someone who
knows early childhood, understands operations and genuinely enjoys helping other leaders succeed.
You will bring:
- Proven experience as an Area Manager or in a comparable multi-site leadership role within the ECEC sector.
- Strong knowledge of the NQF, National Law and Regulations and contemporary ECEC practice.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire, coach and develop Centre Directors and leadership teams.
- Strong commercial and operational awareness, including an understanding of occupancy and service performance.
- A calm, approachable and solutions-focused leadership style.
- Excellent organisation and the ability to confidently manage competing priorities across multiple services.
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
- A genuine commitment to children's safety, wellbeing and best interests.
- A passion for continuous improvement and developing others.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Diploma of Children's Services or approved equivalent.
- Current Blue Card.
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
- Current Driver Licence and willingness to regularly travel between services.
- A commitment to healthy living and wellbeing and being a positive role model for the children in our care.
