Maintenance Planner – Immediate Start
Role Overview
Altus Wind Pty Ltd, a Queensland-based Australian company, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to support wind turbine blade-repair operations across multiple project sites.
This full-time or casual role combines hands-on blade-repair knowledge with maintenance planning, technical coordination and field support. The successful candidate will work closely with site teams, project managers, engineers, quality personnel and operations staff to ensure all blade inspections, repairs and maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with approved technical requirements.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
- Extensive experience in wind turbine blade repair and composite maintenance, preferably 10 years or more
- Experience coordinating or supporting multiple blade-repair teams
- Strong knowledge of composite materials and blade-repair techniques
- The ability to make clear technical and operational decisions under pressure
- Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills
- Strong attention to safety, quality, productivity and documentation
- Experience analysing daily performance and identifying improvements
- The confidence to address poor practices professionally and constructively
Minimum Requirements
- Proven blade-repair, composite-repair or blade-maintenance experience
- Previous experience as a Blade Repair Technician, Maintenance Planner, Team Leader, Blade Specialist or Technical Coordinator
- Ability to interpret repair manuals, engineering instructions, technical drawings and method statements
- Experience with quality documentation, repair evidence and reporting requirements
- Experience using systems such as ServiceNow, SAP or BladeKore
- Strong Microsoft Excel, reporting and data-management skills
- Strong written and spoken English
- Ability to travel to wind farm sites as required
Preferred Qualifications
- IRATA rope-access experience
- Current GWO certifications
- OEM blade-repair training
- Experience with Nordex, Vestas, Siemens Gamesa, GE, Enercon or similar platforms
- Knowledge of NCR management, inspections and technical-deviation processes
