We’re looking for a compassionate and experienced Disability Support Worker who genuinely cares about making a difference and can provide consistent, high-quality support to participants with complex needs.
About the Role
We are currently recruiting a Casual Disability Support Worker to support an 18-year-old male participant in Victoria Point, QLD.
This role involves supporting a young adult with high-intensity physical support needs, complex behaviours, and epilepsy. Applicants must have proven experience supporting participants with high support needs and implementing Positive Behaviour Support strategies.
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Support Worker who can build a positive relationship with the participant while providing safe, respectful, and person-centred support.
Participant Requirements
Male Support Worker
Due to the participant’s preferences and support requirements, we are seeking a Male Disability Support Worker with experience supporting participants who have:
- High-intensity support needs
- High physical support needs
- Complex and challenging behaviours
- Epilepsy (training and/or experience essential)
Your Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred support in the participant’s home and community
- Assist with personal care and daily living activities
- Support the participant using Positive Behaviour Support strategies
- Respond appropriately to epilepsy-related incidents if required
- Promote independence, choice, dignity, and community participation
- Complete accurate shift notes and required documentation
- Work collaboratively with families, coordinators, and the wider support team
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Blue Card
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Reliable vehicle with Comprehensive Car Insurance
- Availability across a 7-day roster
- Demonstrated experience supporting participants with high-intensity support needs and complex behaviours (essential)
- Epilepsy training and/or experience (essential)
