As we continue to grow, we are seeking a proactive and highly organised HR Coordinator to join our team and support our workforce across recruitment, onboarding, compliance, employee relations, and people operations.
About the Role
This position will operate as part of a job-sharing arrangement alongside another HR Coordinator. The successful candidate will work collaboratively to ensure continuity across all HR functions, maintain effective communication, and provide consistent support to employees and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities, including advertising, screening, interviewing, reference checks, and onboarding.
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with Fair Work, NDIS, and organisational requirements.
- Assist with employee onboarding, inductions, and probation reviews.
- Monitor and manage HR compliance, including worker screening checks, qualifications, training, and certifications.
- Support performance management processes and employee development initiatives.
- Assist managers with employee relations matters and HR enquiries.
- Prepare employment contracts, letters, and HR documentation.
- Coordinate staff training, meetings, and engagement activities.
- Maintain HR systems and ensure accurate employee data management.
- Support policy development and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in a Human Resources, HR Administration, HR Coordinator, or People & Culture role.
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and Fair Work requirements.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR systems.
- Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
Desirable
- Qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Experience within the NDIS, disability, healthcare, aged care, or community services sector.
- Experience with rostering systems and workforce management.
- Understanding of SCHADS Award and employment compliance requirements.
