Kitchen Hand – The Sherlock Holmes Inn
The Sherlock Holmes Inn, located at 415 Collins Street, Melbourne VIC 3000, is looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Hand to join our busy kitchen team.

Employment Type: Part-time / Full-time depending on availability

Key Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils and kitchen equipment.
- Keep dishwashing and kitchen areas clean and organised.
- Assist with general kitchen cleaning throughout the shift.
- Clean floors, benches, shelves, cool rooms and storage areas.
- Empty rubbish and recycling bins and maintain waste areas.
- Assist with basic food preparation when required, including washing and preparing vegetables.
- Help receive and store deliveries correctly.
- Assist with stock rotation and keeping storage areas tidy.
- Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures.
- Support chefs and cooks during busy service periods.
- Help maintain a clean, safe and efficient kitchen environment.
- Complete other reasonable kitchen duties as directed by the Head Chef or management.
Requirements
- Previous kitchen hand or hospitality experience preferred, but not essential.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
- Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Good understanding of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Physically able to stand for long periods and perform cleaning and lifting duties.
- Available to work evenings, weekends and public holidays when required.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Pay: From $26.44 per hour
