As the heart of our kitchen, you'll play an important role in supporting children's growth, wellbeing and lifelong healthy eating habits through fresh, nutritious meals prepared with care.

Welcome to Aussie Kindies Niagara Park, a vibrant 59-place centre where learning, play and wellbeing go hand in hand.
Our educators are passionate about helping children develop healthy habits from an early age, and our kitchen plays a key role in that journey. You'll be joining a collaborative team that values creativity, relationships and making every day meaningful for children and families.
As our Centre Cook, you'll be responsible for planning and preparing nutritious meals and snacks that meet the dietary needs of young children while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
You'll enjoy the support of:

Your Day Will Include
- Preparing healthy and nutritious meals and snacks for children
- Planning and evaluating menus in line with nutritional guidelines
- Managing food orders, stock control and kitchen budgets
- Maintaining food safety, hygiene and compliance standards
- Catering for allergies, cultural requirements and dietary needs
- Encouraging children's understanding of healthy eating through centre activities and events
We're looking for someone who is:
✔ Passionate about children's health and nutrition
✔ Experienced in high-volume meal preparation
✔ Organised with strong stock management and ordering skills
✔ Knowledgeable in food safety practices and compliance requirements
✔ Reliable, positive and able to work independently
✔ Excited to be part of a team that supports children's learning and wellbeing
- Current Food Safety Supervisor and Food Handling Certificate
- Experience preparing meals in a commercial or childcare environment
- Reliable transport
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificates (or willingness to obtain)
Desirable
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
- Previous experience working in Early Childhood Education and Care
