Teacher of Vision - Macquarie

This is a 12-month Temporary Full-Time opportunity reporting directly to the Head of School and based onsite at NextSense School – Macquarie. The preferred commencement date is August 2026.
About You:
- Recognised postgraduate qualification in sensory disability.
- Formal Teaching Degree or Diploma
- Braille Proficiency Certificate
- Computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the capacity to handle sensitive matters with tact and diplomacy
- Demonstrated teamwork and the ability to work independently
- Working knowledge of technology and its uses within the field of vision impairment
- Knowledge of braille and how to teach it
- Demonstrated commitment to high-quality program delivery
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- You are obliged to become familiar with, and comply with child protection policies and legislation, as amended from time to time.
- Valid Working With Children Check and National Criminal Record Check (or willingness to obtain).
