What your day could look like
As a Quality Officer, you'll play an important role in strengthening how care is delivered across Darling Downs Health. From turning insights into action to supporting teams through change, you'll help build a culture where quality and safety are at the centre of everything we do.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
Turning data, audits and evidence into clear improvement actions that enhance patient care
Partnering with clinicians and leaders to guide quality initiatives and support informed decisions
Building team capability by coaching others in improvement methods and continuous practice
Driving progress by tracking initiatives, overcoming barriers and supporting sustainable change
Let's talk about you!
You bring curiosity, integrity and a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for patients and communities. You enjoy making sense of complex information, helping others understand it, and turning it into practical action. You take pride in supporting teams to grow, and you're motivated by the difference thoughtful, evidence-based improvement can make. You lead with compassion, collaborate with respect, and approach challenges with innovation and courage.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
Experience applying quality improvement approaches such as PDSA, Lean or similar
Strong ability to analyse and translate data into meaningful insights and actions
Confident communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse teams
Experience supporting education, coaching or capability development in a workplace setting
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in healthcare quality or clinical governance environments and/or additional study in quality, safety or health improvement.
Most importantly, you'll be passionate about improving care, strengthening systems, and contributing to a culture where people and communities come first, every step of the way.
