Are you looking to start your career in a reputable transport and logistics Company? We have a Yard Truck Operator role available at our Welshpool location. With an exceptional focus on HSE at all time, you will be required to:
- Perform visual inspections of the condition of each trailer and other equipment in the yard – reporting any issues to Supervisor and Fleet Manager;
- Report on trailer and dolly kilometres travelled;
- Coupling and uncoupling of trailers;
- Compiling a list of assets available in the yard;
- Working closely with the Washbay and Workshop Teams;
- Working with an agreed schedule to drive trailers in and out of the Washbay and Workshop in a timely manner;
- Working with the Operations Team stage any road train combinations in order to meet their daily schedule requirements; and
- Upskilling opportunities available to advance to HR/HC/MC license.
Key requirements:
- ‘HC’ class drivers license;
- Experience in transport industry desirable but not essential;
- Proven experience in following HSE procedures;
- Must be highly motivated and organised;
- Able to work on own and in a team;
- Good written and verbal communication skills; and
- Basic Microsoft office suite knowledge.
