Join Our Team: Mobile Retail Seafood Driver / Salesperson
We are seeking a dynamic, customer-oriented Mobile Retail Seafood Driver / Salesperson to bring the freshest Portland seafood to regional destinations. In this role, you will operate a specialised refrigerated vehicle, manage a high-quality product inventory, and build a loyal local customer base through excellent service.
This is a casual position with a reasonably regular weekly schedule. Initially the job offers 1-2 shifts per week, with opportunity for more shifts for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Safely: Operate a mobile retail vehicle along designated routes.
- Sell Seafood: Engage customers, provide product knowledge, and sell premium seafood.
- Manage Inventory: Maintain stock levels, monitor freshness, and display products attractively.
- Handle Transactions: Process cash and electronic payments accurately using a POS system.
- Maintain Hygiene: Clean the vehicle daily and follow strict food safety and temperature regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Valid Licence: Current driver’s licence (truck licence not required).
- Strong Communication: Friendly, reliable, and comfortable working independently.
- Sales Experience and Food Safety Knowledge are preferred but not essential (training can be provided).
