About the role
Domestic Assistants play an integral role in creating a welcoming, safe, and beautifully maintained environment for residents, families, and visitors. Through meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to service excellence, this role ensures all spaces reflect a high standard of cleanliness, presentation, and comfort-enhancing residents’ sense of pride, wellbeing, and belonging.
Role responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality cleaning services across resident house
- Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation at all times.
- Ensure all areas are cared for thoughtfully, with attention to detail and respect for residents’ personal spaces.
- Respond promptly to ad hoc cleaning requests and changing operational needs.
- Respect residents’ privacy, dignity, and individual preferences when working in their homes.
- Be attentive to resident needs, escalating any concerns or observations to the appropriate team member.
- Apply infection control, hygiene, and safety practices in line with organisational policies.
- Monitor and maintain adequate stock of cleaning supplies and ensure equipment is well maintained, clean, and fit for purpose.
- Report equipment faults or replacement needs in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively with care, hospitality, and operations teams to support village needs.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Relevant experience (Minimum 1 year of experience) in domestic services, cleaning, or hospitality/hotel work is highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of high standard of customer service and effective communication and professionalism
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Understanding of cleaning processes, safety, and infection control practices (desirable)
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
