An exceptional opportunity exists for an accomplished Director of Sales to shape the commercial identity and success of Crystalbrook Aurora from its earliest chapter. Joining the hotel through its pre-opening journey, you will lead the sales strategy, cultivate influential market relationships and position Crystalbrook Aurora as one of Canberra’s most distinctive and desirable hospitality destinations.
Reporting to the General Manager, with a strategic connection to the Group Director, Sales & Distribution, you will lead performance across corporate, government, groups, leisure and events. With a refined understanding of the market, you will identify high-value opportunities, build trusted partnerships and create sustainable revenue growth.
Working closely with Revenue, Marketing and hotel leadership, you will bring commercial discipline, strategic insight and a considered approach to business development. Your focus will be on generating early momentum while establishing the strong foundations required for enduring market success.
As a key member of the pre-opening leadership team, this is a rare opportunity to influence the hotel’s market positioning, shape its commercial story and play a defining role in the successful launch of Crystalbrook Aurora.
What You’ll Do:

Develop and deliver a strategic sales plan aligned with Crystalbrook’s commercial objectives and brand positioning

Drive proactive and reactive sales activity across all demand segments to optimise market share and revenue performance

Build strategic account relationships with key corporate, government, group and event partners

Provide market intelligence and commercial insights to support pricing, positioning and demand strategy

Act as the senior sales liaison between the hotel leadership team and central commercial functions

Oversee contracting standards, major negotiations and commercial agreements

Recruit, mentor and lead a high-performing on-property sales team
About You:
You are a commercially astute sales leader with a proven track record of delivering strong revenue outcomes within the hotel sector.
You combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution and you know how to build trusted relationships that translate into long-term partnerships and sustainable demand.
