The Role
We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team and support the day-to-day financial operations of the business. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will assist with month-end reporting, financial processing, reconciliations and compliance activities while working closely with stakeholders across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support the preparation of management reports, budgets and forecasts.
- Prepare and issue customer invoices and assist with customer account reconciliations.
- Process payments and support daily cash management activities.
- Assist with BAS, payroll tax and other statutory reporting requirements.
- Support internal and external audit processes.
- Maintain accurate financial records and accounting systems.
- Respond to finance-related enquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the Finance function.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- CA or CPA qualification completed, currently working towards, or a willingness to commence.
- Approximately 2–5 years’ experience in a commercial accounting environment.
- Experience with month-end processes, reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Strong Excel skills and experience using ERP/accounting systems.
- Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
