About the Role
We are seeking to appoint an Administration Coordinator to support the Manager and staff at the Wagga Agricultural Institute. This role manages the office and a local clerical team to provide effective administrative support and is the main point of contact for the staff regarding human resource and accounting matters. The role is vital to support the delivery of the Department’s core research and advisory operations.
In this diverse and rewarding role, you will oversee a broad range of administrative, financial, and customer service functions, ensuring research site operations run efficiently and effectively. You will work closely with site managers and staff, providing high-level support, coordinating business processes, and fostering a positive and customer-focused team culture.
Your responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Leading and supporting a team of administrative staff to deliver professional and responsive services.
- Managing day-to-day administrative and financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, procurement, asset management, fleet coordination, and financial reporting.
- Providing exceptional customer service and acting as a key point of contact for staff, contractors, customers, and visitors.
- Coordinating office management activities including records management, correspondence, meeting support, mail services, and hospitality arrangements.
- Developing and improving administrative systems, processes, and procedures to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
- Supporting managers with administrative planning, issue resolution, and business operations.
- Monitoring and reporting on administrative trends and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
About You
You are a highly organised professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and supporting a wide range of stakeholders. You have:
- Experience leading or supervising administrative teams.
- Strong administration and financial processing skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Sound judgement, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
