The role
To provide a clinical service in Endocrinology and work collabaratively with Hospital Departments as required ensuring the co-ordination, efficiency and costing effectiveness of Hospital services.
To participate in and oversee quality assurance activities occurring in the Discipiline and to participate in teaching activities for the relevant staff.
To encourage and participate in research projects to further the knowledge of the discipline.
To advise the Executive Director of Medical Services on issues relating to the discipline and/or the Hospital.
To perform the general administration duties and to participate in performance appraisals of staff and their performance.
To perform such other duties as decided by the Clinical Director, Medical Service Group. Provide ethical decision making in the achievement of organisation goals.
PLEASE NOTE: There are two temporary part-time roles available, commencing ASAP. One x temporary part-time - up to 31/01/2027 (working 48 hours per fortnight) and one x temporary part-time - up to 23/07/2028 (40 hours per fortnight).

Salary range: $103.80 - $131.61 p.h. (L18-L27)
5 weeks annual leave (pro rata) with 17.5% loading

Requirements:
Mandatory: Registration as a Specialist Medical Practitioner in Australia and Fellowship with The Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
Travel: This position may require the incumbent to work at other facilities within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service.
All applicants must be awarded SoCP by the THHS Credentialing and SoCP committee.
This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
