The position is to complement the development and growth of MC Quality activities and to meet the demands of the mining industry. MC Quality is heavily involved in both on and offsite maintenance/overhauls in the Hunter Valley and Mackay.
We have opportunities for an individual who would like to build a career in the heavy equipment industry and to work with experienced and skilled structural repair Welding Supervisors, Welding Technologists, Welding Engineer and Mechanical Engineer.
In this role, you will use your skills to build the MC Quality library of engineering drawings whilst along the way, assisting our key people in troubleshooting and development of technical documentation and structural analysis assistance.
Experience in 2D and 3D Modelling using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor, and familiarisation with Open Cut mining equipment is preferred.
The role will also include 3D laser scanning and interpretation of scan files.
Experience in welding or welding related environments is also preferred.
Inductions and site experience are highly desirable.
Technical Engineering skills from a diploma or degree will be taken into consideration and will be utilised in the role.
Other technical drafting or engineering qualifications are highly desirable.
A graduate or undergraduate engineer who has completed at least 3rd year of University would be considered. A reduction in work hours would also be considered to facilitate a person completing their final year of university.

The hours for the role will be based on 38 hours, with the opportunity for additional work if required. Pay conditions are to be based upon the merit of the application.
