This is an opportunity to join a technology function supporting our mining operations, corporate services and operational technology environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining secure connectivity, strengthening cyber resilience, improving visibility across IT and OT assets, and supporting the safe delivery of technology services across New Hope Group.
Key responsibilities include:

Administering, supporting and continuously improving IT and OT network and cyber security infrastructure.

Configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting Fortinet platforms, Microsoft 365 Defender, FortiSIEM, Trend Vision One, Varonis and related security technologies.

Supporting segmentation, secure remote access, firewall policy management, routing, switching, VPNs and operational technology connectivity.

Monitoring threats, investigating incidents, tuning alerts and contributing to cyber security response activities across enterprise and operational environments.

Maintaining accurate technical documentation, network diagrams, support procedures and configuration records.

Working closely with site teams, engineering, operations, vendors and managed service providers to deliver secure and operationally practical outcomes.
About you:

Demonstrated experience in network engineering, cyber security engineering or IT/OT security roles.

Strong technical capability across enterprise networking, firewalls, VPNs, segmentation, monitoring and security operations.

Experience with Fortinet technologies, Microsoft security platforms and broader cyber security tooling.

Understanding of operational technology, industrial networks or critical infrastructure environments is highly regarded.

Ability to work independently, apply sound judgement and prioritise operational risk in complex environments.

A current driver licence and willingness to travel to sites when required.
