Glengarry Private is seeking an experienced and proactive nurse to join our After Hours Management Team.
This role offers an excellent pathway into leadership, providing the chance to make a meaningful impact on hospital operations outside of regular hours. As an After-Hours Manager, you will contribute to high‑quality clinical and operational leadership across evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Comprehensive orientation to the AHM role will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and operational leadership across the hospital during after-hours shifts

Support staff in delivering safe, high-quality patient care

Act as the primary point of contact for escalation and decision-making

Coordinate emergency responses and manage critical incidents

Ensure effective communication between departments and with senior management
-
Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures
About You
To be successful in this role you will bring extensive clinical skills and hold a passion for patient care. Demonstrating creative and innovative leadership and acting as a positive role model, while fostering a culture that is positive, honest, supportive and forward thinking. Your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and your ability to work effectively within a team environment is crucial for this role.
Essential Criteria

Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse

Minimum 5 years' recent clinical experience preferably in an acute setting

Critical Care skills are not essential but highly regarded
-
ALS or working towards is essential

Demonstrated ability to be an effective role model in the area of clinical practice

Sound computer skills in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

Post grad studies are not necessary but highly regarded
Desirable

Post graduate qualifications in a clinical specialty area

Previous experience in a management role

This role is offered on an ad hoc basis. Flexibility to cover shifts at short notice, including weekends and public holidays, is highly valued
