About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Grade 1 Neurophysiology Scientist to join the Neurophysiology Department at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne. As part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you'll provide high-quality diagnostic neurophysiology services to both inpatients and outpatients, delivering safe, accurate and patient-centred care across a broad range of neurodiagnostic investigations. This role offers exposure to a diverse clinical caseload within a busy tertiary referral service and the opportunity to contribute to clinical research and quality improvement initiatives. You'll also play an important role in coordinating investigations, maintaining specialised equipment and supporting the day-to-day operation of the department. Participation in the department's after-hours on-call roster is required.
Classification: Grade 1 Neurophysiology Scientist
Salary: RX1 - RX7 $63,674.00 – $91,785.20 per annum, plus superannuation and applicable allowances.
Your Contribution
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
A degree in Medical Science, Psychophysiology or an equivalent qualification.
Experience across a range of neurodiagnostic investigations (desirable).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centred approach.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
A proactive, enthusiastic and self-motivated attitude.
A current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
A current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain, if required).

The Neurophysiology Department is a busy clinical and research service specialising in the investigation of disorders affecting the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves and muscles.

Electroencephalography (EEG)
Video EEG Monitoring
Ambulatory EEG
Intracranial EEG Monitoring
Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) and Electromyography (EMG)
Evoked Potentials
Small Fibre Studies (QSART/CSP)
Autonomic Testing (Tilt Table Studies)
