SALON MANAGER – FULL-TIME

We are seeking an experienced Salon Manager with strong hands-on experience in the nail and beauty industry to oversee the day-to-day operations of our growing nail, beauty and head spa salon in Milton, close to Brisbane CBD.
This position requires both strong salon management skills and practical nail industry experience. The successful candidate must understand professional nail services and be capable of assessing service quality, supporting and training nail technicians, resolving technical service issues and, when required, providing or correcting nail services to maintain our salon standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the salon
- Supervise, support and coordinate salon staff
- Prepare and manage staff rosters according to business requirements
- Monitor staff attendance, performance, productivity and service standards
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding and training of new team members
- Train, guide and support nail technicians in salon procedures and service standards
- Assess the quality of nail services and identify technical or service issues
- Assist nail technicians with difficult or corrective services when required
- Personally perform nail services when operationally necessary, including during busy periods, staff shortages or when resolving client service issues
- Ensure all nail services meet the salon’s required quality, hygiene and safety standards
- Maintain high standards of customer service and client experience
- Handle customer enquiries, complaints, service corrections and other client issues professionally
- Oversee bookings, appointment flow and daily salon capacity
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate ordering of salon products and supplies
- Liaise with suppliers and assist with inventory management
- Ensure salon presentation, cleanliness, equipment and work areas are maintained to a high standard
- Assist with promotions, client retention and business development activities
- Support the development of nail, beauty and head spa services
- Monitor operational costs and assist with improving salon efficiency and performance
- Assist with administrative duties, record keeping and general business operations
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, hygiene requirements and salon procedures
- Work closely with the business owner to achieve operational and business objectives
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Strong practical experience as a professional nail technician
- Demonstrated experience in professional manicure and pedicure services
- Strong knowledge of professional nail products, nail preparation, application, removal and corrective services
- Ability to assess nail technicians’ work and identify and correct technical problems
- Previous supervisory, team leader or salon management experience
- Ability to train, guide and support nail technicians
- Strong leadership and staff management skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage staff rosters and daily salon operations
- Ability to resolve customer complaints and service issues independently
- Reliable, responsible and professional
- Good English communication skills
- Available to work a flexible full-time roster, including evenings and weekends as required

HIGHLY REGARDED
- Experience with Builder Gel/BIAB, Gel-X or other professional gel systems
- Experience with Russian manicure and/or pedicure techniques
- Experience in a premium nail or beauty salon environment
- Relevant nail, beauty, salon management or business qualifications
- Experience with salon booking systems, stock management, staff scheduling, recruitment and training
