Assistant - Dress Rental Boutique
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and fashion-forward Retail &
Customer Experience Assistant to join our growing dress rental boutique.
This role is perfect for someone who loves styling, enjoys working with people, has strong attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced retail environment.
You'll play an important role in creating a welcoming and memorable experience for every client. From helping customers find the perfect dress for their special event to ensuring every garment is presented in immaculate condition, you'll be involved in all aspects of our day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist clients during in-store appointments with a warm, professional, and personalised approach.
- Provide styling advice and help customers select dresses that suit their body shape, event, and bookings accurately.
- Inspect returned garments for damage, stains, or wear, and report any issues.
- Steam, prepare, and present dresses to ensure they meet our high presentation standards.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organisation, and overall appearance of the boutique.
- Assist with stock management, inventory counts, and organising the showroom.
- Pack and prepare online orders and interstate rentals with care and accuracy.
- Respond to customer enquiries via phone, email, and social media in a timely and professional manner.
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional customer service.
- Assist with general administrative tasks, managing/creating social media posts and other duties as required.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous retail, customer service, or fashion experience (minimum 2 years).
- Has a genuine passion for fashion, styling, and helping people feel confident.
- Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is organised, proactive, and able to multitask effectively.
- Has exceptional attention to detail and takes pride in maintaining high standards.
- Is reliable, punctual, and works well independently as well as within a team.
- Is comfortable working in a busy environment, particularly during weekends and peak event
seasons.
- Has basic computer skills and can confidently learn booking and point-of-sale systems.
- Is physically capable of standing for extended periods, steaming garments, and handling clothing racks and stock.
- **MUST be available August-November yearly (including this year), as this is our busiest period. Must also be able to work during school hours.**

Pay: $27.00 – $36.00 per hour
