We are a leading provider of cleaning services and are currently looking for reliable, hardworking and motivated team members with great communication skills to join our team as a Housekeeper at La Trobe University - Student Accommodation (5-7 and 13-15 Burnett Street, Sebastopol VIC 3356).
The role:
- Part-Time contract
- 10 hours per week
- Tuesday and Thursday (can be flexible)
- Shifts: from 9:00am to 2:00pm.
About the role:
As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and presentation across the student accommodation facilities. Your role will include cleaning student residential rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, common areas and other shared facilities to ensure a clean, safe and welcoming environment for students.
Requirements:
- Police Check (must be valid within the last 12 months)
- Working with Children Check – Employee
- Good communication skills
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is preferred but not essential
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
To be considered for this role, you will be able to demonstrate that you are a team player with a strong customer service approach and the ability to follow directions and work autonomously.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning and maintaining student residential rooms and shared accommodation areas.
- Cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms and common areas.
- Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and waste removal.
- Ensuring rooms and facilities are presented to a high standard.
- Replenishing cleaning and bathroom supplies when required.
- Following instructions from your Supervisor/Manager.
- Working in a safe manner that does not disrupt students or other residents.
- Completing equipment checks.
- Reporting any cleaning, maintenance or safety issues to your Supervisor/Manager.
- Providing a professional and friendly service to students and residents.
