Details: Are you an experienced leader with a passion for biosecurity, rural land management and environmental protection? The ACT Government is seeking a highly motivated and strategic professional to help lead the Biosecurity and Rural Services team within the Environment Protection, Biosecurity and Rural Services Branch.
In this role, you will oversee a multidisciplinary team responsible for biosecurity surveillance, preparedness, emergency response, rural land management programs and stakeholder engagement across the ACT. You will work closely with government agencies, industry, researchers, landholders and community groups to prevent, manage and respond to biosecurity threats while supporting sustainable rural land management outcomes.
You will provide operational and strategic leadership across a diverse portfolio, including biosecurity threat management, livestock and rural land programs, compliance, emergency management and contract and procurement activities. The position also plays an important role in representing the ACT Government at regional, national and cross-jurisdictional forums.
