We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
Demonstrated experience in establishing and leading complex programs of work, including the application of contemporary project and program management methodologies, governance frameworks and assurance processes for projects with a value up to $100 million dollars.
Demonstrated experience in contemporary best practice major event planning, education delivery and policy development, and the proven ability to provide authoritative advice in relation to emergency management strategies and procedures.
Demonstrated high level communication, negotiation, consultation and collaboration skills with a superior ability to build and maintain productive relationships with key partners and stakeholders, including the executive leadership groups within the QAS, Queensland Health and other government departments.
Highly developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of achieving required performance standards and organisational objectives.
Superior strategic, analytical, and innovative skills in program planning, management, and execution, with particular expertise in pre-hospital planning and delivery for major events.
Demonstrated skills and experience in the successful delivery of complex, large scale projects (including major events) and solutions that are aligned with organisational objectives.
Proven ability to successfully lead and inspire a large, diverse and multidisciplinary workforce in an environment of competing priorities and needs with limited resources.
The following mandatory requirements, special conditions and/or other requirements apply to this role:
The incumbent may be required to travel on official business and the possession of a C class driver's licence may be required.
Possession of a National Security Clearance is highly desirable.
Qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in contemporary project or program management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, MSP, Agile, PMBOK or equivalent) while not mandatory are highly desired.
Whilst not mandatory, qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in emergency management, major event management, business or another relevant discipline will be highly regarded.
Position may require participation in shift work (including weekends) and on-call duties.
