As a Senior Consultant within our Private Tax team, you will be involved in providing professional accounting and taxation services to a diverse range of clients and industries, including large privately owned businesses, high net worth family groups and family offices. This opportunity will see you advising on accounting and compliance matters, with a strong tax technical focus, through to developing strategies for growth, acquisitions, divestments, and succession.

Duties & Responsibilities
Tax Advisory
Tax compliance including tax return preparation
Involvement with family business succession and structuring wealth transfer to next generations
Collaboratively within a larger, multi-disciplinary team
Coach and mentor our more junior team members
To be successful in this position, you will need:
Demonstrated experience operating within a public practice environment.
Experience privately owned groups, family businesses, high net wealth families.
Strong accounting and taxation compliance focus.
Knowledge of Australian taxation legislation and accounting reporting requirements,
Proficient understanding of accounting concepts and financial statement preparation, as well as preparation of income tax returns, activity statements, etc.
Passion for professional development, keeping up-to-date with changes in tax and accounting legislation and standards.
High-level of attention to detail, researching and preparing advice to clients as directed by manager and partner.
High level written and verbal communication skills.
A team mentality, sound interpersonal skills, supporting colleagues and clients.
Competence in the use of accounting-related software including Xero, MYOB, APS, QBO.
The required qualifications
Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting, commerce or equivalent.
CA qualification, complete or on the path to completion.
