Experienced Disability Support Workers – Redlands and surrounding areas

Applied Abilities is an NDIS-registered provider seeking experienced Disability Support Workers across Redlands City and surrounding South & Eastern Brisbane suburbs.
We have a broad range of shifts currently available, particularly weekdays (mornings and afternoons), daytime and weekends.
You do not need to be available for every shift type – tell us when you can work.
The Role
You'll provide individualised support in participants' homes and in the community, including:
- Community access and social participation
- Daily living and life-skills development
- Capacity building and promoting independence
- Mental health and psychosocial support
- Autism and intellectual disability support
- Behaviour Support Plans and behaviours of concern
- Personal care, where required
- Transport to appointments and activities
At Applied Abilities, we want Support Workers who actively engage with participants and build independence – not simply do things for them.
What We're Looking For
Previous hands-on disability support experience is essential. Ideally, you will have at least 12 months' experience and be confident working independently.
We're looking for people who are:
- Reliable, professional and genuinely engaged
- Calm, patient and able to use initiative
- Confident maintaining professional boundaries
- Experienced with support plans and accurate progress notes
- Available for regular shifts across the Redlands/South & Eastern suburbs
Experience with mental health, psychosocial disability, autism, behaviours of concern and BSPs is highly regarded.
Essential Requirements
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Blue Card/Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Reliable, registered and appropriately insured vehicle
- Australian working rights
Relevant disability/community services qualifications are highly regarded.
