Introduction:
The position exists to safely, productively and cost efficiently contribute to the Drill and Blast team to achieve budget/forecast targets for the operation.
Description:
Role Responsibilities:
- Safe priming, loading and tie ins of blast holes
- Safe operation of stemming loader and backfilling blast holes
- Ensure that all blasting processes mitigates any risk of misfires
- Liaise with Blast Supervisor as to the status of drilling activities
- Upon competency being achieved, provide assistance and direction to new crew members
- Actively provide technical coaching, training and development of the crew
- Demonstrate active commitment towards achieving drill and blast safety, appearance and tidiness goals and/or standards
Attend meetings when required and work cooperatively with all to ensure all targets are being met
- Undertake additional duties as reasonably requested by your manager in line with your skills, experience and competency level.
