THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an experienced Store Manager to manage the day-to-day retail operations of our store. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the business, including customer service, team leadership, inventory management, retail operations, and sales performance across both dine-in and takeaway services.
This role is ideal for someone with strong retail management experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and is capable of balancing people management, stock control, operational planning, and business performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Manage the daily retail operations of the store, ensuring efficient service across both dine-in and takeaway operations while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
● Lead and supervise the retail team, ensuring consistent product preparation and presentation standards are maintained.
● Deliver high-quality customer service and professionally handle customer enquiries and complaints.
● Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, storage, stock rotation, and waste minimisation.
● Monitor sales performance and retail trends, and implement strategies to improve revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
● Recruit, train, roster, and supervise staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
● Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene standards, and workplace health and safety regulations.
● Oversee POS systems, cash handling, daily reconciliations, and retail reporting.
● Coordinate local marketing activities, promotions, and customer engagement initiatives.
● Maintain cleanliness, presentation, and organisation of both customer seating areas and service counters to ensure a welcoming environment.
ABOUT YOU
● At least three (3) years of experience managing a retail store, juice bar, dessert bar, café, takeaway food outlet, or similar customer-facing business.
● A Diploma or higher qualification in Retail Management, Business Management, Hospitality Management or a closely related field of management (AQF equivalent or higher).
● Strong leadership, customer service, and team management skills.
● Experience in inventory control, ordering, supplier coordination, and stock management.
● Good understanding of retail operations, sales reporting, and basic financial management.
● Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
● Competent in POS systems and basic computer applications.
● Available to work a full-time roster, including weekends and public holidays as required.
