Who We Are
Gardenridge runs a little differently. We care about excellence in horticulture, we value clients, and we value our team.
You will start and finish at our Burwood depot. We typically work in teams of two, with clear schedules so you know where you are going and for how long. Our standard hours are 7:00am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday, leaving you time for the things that make you happy.
The Role
We are hiring our next Garden Maintenance Team Leader. You will own the presentation and health of high-end gardens, plan maintenance, lead a small team, and keep high standards.
We provide you with well maintained equipment.
If you hit a tricky situation, the team is there to support you.
We share knowledge so everyone keeps getting better.
You will:
- Lead a two-person crew and run the day from depot to depot
- Talk to clients about their garden needs
- Delegate tasks and guide those working with you, while sharing your knowledge
- Diagnose and treat garden issues across the seasons
- Perform precision hedge and topiary pruning, rose pruning, mulching, feeding, pest and disease control
- Troubleshoot basic irrigation issues and keep systems running
- Operate and care for hedgers, edgers, mowers, blowers, chainsaws
- Maintain tidy records and communicate with management
You Bring
- Certificate III in Horticulture and 4 years industry experience
- Strong plant, weed, pest knowledge and a sharp eye for detail
- Confidence in planning and executing maintenance regimes
- Competence with the common power tools listed above, plus basic servicing know-how
- A calm, humble leadership style and solid teamwork
- Physical fitness for an 'on the tools' role
- Pride and care in your workmanship
- Irrigation know-how at a practical level
- Confidence using job management systems and completing notes and photos to company standards
- Current Australian drivers license
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency status required
