Love fast-paced environments, working with people, and being part of something exciting? Drift City is opening at Elizabeth South SA — and we're building our crew from the ground up.
We're looking for energetic, safety-focused individuals to join our Track Attendant team. If you thrive on keeping things running smoothly, enjoy interacting with people of all ages, and take pride in delivering a great experience every time — this is the role for you.
Who is Drift City?
Drift City is a brand new electric go-kart entertainment venue located at 180 Philip Highway, Elizabeth South. We're bringing state-of-the-art electric kart racing to Adelaide's north — with a purpose-built 226-metre circuit, the latest track management technology, and a crew committed to making every race unforgettable.
We take safety seriously and fun even more seriously. Every shift is different, every session brings new faces, and our team is the engine that makes it all happen.
About the Role
As a Track Attendant at Drift City, you'll be front and centre — welcoming drivers, running safety briefings, managing sessions on track, and making sure every customer leaves with a smile.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering the Drift City driver safety briefing before each session — confidently and clearly
- Fitting helmets, checking seatbelts, and assisting customers in and out of karts
- Monitoring driver behaviour on track and enforcing safety rules
- Operating our De Haardt track management system (training provided)
- Responding to on-track incidents and assisting with first aid if required
- Conducting pre-session kart inspections and between-session checks
- Keeping the facility clean, safe, and presented at its best
- Registering customers and processing bookings via our facility management software
What We're Looking For
- A genuine passion for safety — you understand it's non-negotiable
- High energy, positive attitude, and a natural ability to engage with people
- Clear, confident communication — you're comfortable speaking to groups
- Reliable and punctual — your team counts on you
- Comfortable working weekends, evenings, and school holiday periods
- Basic computer skills — we use booking and race management software
- Current First Aid Level 2 certificate (or willingness to obtain one — we'll point you in the right direction)
- Current Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain — required under SA legislation)
- Experience in hospitality, retail, events, or customer-facing roles is a plus — but not essential
What's in It for You
- Be part of opening a brand new venue — get in on the ground floor
- Ongoing training in track operations, safety systems, and customer experience
- Clear pathway to senior and leadership roles as the team grows
- A fun, high-energy workplace where no two shifts are the same
- Supportive team environment with a genuine focus on safety and people
Requirements
- Must be available to work weekends and school holidays
- Must be able to stand and remain active for extended periods
- Must be comfortable in both indoor and outdoor environments
- Eligible to work in Australia
