Job Description
Join Ramsay Health Care as a Work Health and Safety (WHS) Coordinator and play a key role in creating a safe and healthy environment across our Albury Wodonga and Wangaratta Private Hospitals. This permanent, part-time (4 days per week) position is your chance to champion safety and foster a positive culture. You will collaborate with our VIC Safety Manager and dedicated hospital teams, leading critical safety initiatives that protect and empower our people and patients daily.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Key responsibilities include:

Taking the lead on WHS within your facilities, working alongside the National Safety Team and facility Executive Team to build a robust, proactive safety culture.

Ensuring the effective implementation and upkeep of the Ramsay Safety Management System, its templates, and documentation.

Managing incident investigations and developing strategies to mitigate future risks.

Performing risk assessments, site audits, and providing essential workplace safety training.

Establishing and upholding high standards for safety practices.

Reporting on safety performance to internal stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring:
To succeed in this role, you’ll need

Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety (Minimum of a Cert IV in WHS).

Experience in Work Health and Safety, preferably within the health industry or a large organisation.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with teams at all levels.

A proactive and highly organised approach to managing multiple priorities.

Proven ability to work autonomously.

Excellent planning, time management, problem solving and decision-making skills.
