Lead the Team. Shape the Workshop. Drive Continuous Improvement.
Are you an experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic looking for more than just another workshop role?
At Heidelberg Materials, we're looking for a hands-on leader who wants to influence how our workshop operates—not just repair trucks. This is an opportunity to build leadership capability, mentor others, improve fleet performance and play a key role in one of NSW's largest transport operations.
You'll lead the day-to-day mechanical function of our Kulnura Workshop and surrounding Central Coast/Newcastle areas, supporting a modern fleet of heavy vehicles while developing the systems, people and processes that keep our business moving.
If you're ready to step beyond the tools and broaden your leadership experience, we'd like to hear from you.

- Leading and coordinating the inspection, diagnosis and repair of heavy vehicles and associated equipment.
- Planning and managing preventative maintenance programs to maximise fleet availability and reliability.
- Coaching, mentoring and developing mechanics to build capability across the workshop.
- Driving a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with all legislative and company standards.
- Improving workshop systems, maintenance processes and equipment reliability through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinating external contractors and suppliers while managing workshop priorities.
- Working closely with operations and transport leaders to minimise downtime and support business performance.
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and supporting workshop planning and reporting.
Providing technical leadership during breakdowns and critical fleet issues.
