Design & Engineering
CPP has the largest in-house design and engineering team of any contractor in Australia, with over 170 specialists across Electrical Primary and Secondary, Civil, Structural, and SCADA disciplines. We provide end-to-end engineering solutions for high-voltage infrastructure, including nationally significant transmission projects, HV substations, wind farms and battery storage systems that drive Australia’s renewable energy transition.

The Opportunity
Step into an exciting role as Senior Engineer – Secondary at CPP, where you will play an important part in supporting the continued growth of our Victorian engineering hub while delivering high-voltage substation projects across Australia’s renewable energy and utility sectors.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager – VIC, you will work closely with our growing secondary engineering team in Victoria and CPP’s highly respected and well-established national engineering team. Bringing strong hands-on design expertise of high voltage renewable and utilities projects, you will support the continued development of high-quality engineering capability in Victoria while contributing to CPP’s broader national engineering strength.
This is an opportunity to contribute to complex, nationally significant projects while supporting the capability, culture and continued growth of CPP’s Victorian engineering hub.
Skills and Experiences:
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
A tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or an equivalent discipline
Significant experience designing secondary systems for high-voltage transmission substations
Demonstrated experience producing, reviewing and checking detailed secondary system design outputs
Strong end-to-end experience delivering substation projects, from concept development through to detailed design
Detailed knowledge of power system philosophies, industry requirements, client specifications and relevant Australian Standards
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, field teams, suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
