About the Role
We are seeking compassionate and reliable Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to support clients with daily living activities and personal care needs. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care while promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in aged care, disability support, community care, or healthcare settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting clients with personal care including showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Supporting mobility and transfers
- Assisting with meal preparation and feeding
- Providing medication reminders or assistance (where qualified)
- Supporting clients with social and community participation
- Maintaining accurate documentation and progress notes
- Monitoring client wellbeing and reporting concerns to supervisors
- Performing light household duties where required
Essential Requirements
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability, Nursing, or related qualification
- Previous experience in aged care, disability support, or healthcare
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (preferred)
- Working with Children Check
- Current Police Check
- Reliable vehicle, full driver’s licence, and comprehensive car insurance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable Skills
- Experience supporting clients with high care needs
- Clinical background or medication competency
- Manual handling experience
- Knowledge of infection control procedures
- Flexible availability including weekends and night shifts
