Job description:
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and reliable Female Disability Support Worker, who is interested in working with children living with disability to join our team. As a support worker, you will play an integral role in helping individuals with disabilities live independently and with dignity in their community. You will provide personalized care, assist with daily activities, and ensure a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support with daily living activities such as grooming, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and physical activities.
- Develop and implement individualized support plans in collaboration with clients, families, and other professionals.
- Support clients in their social, recreational, and community activities.
- Promote independence, choice, and dignity for all clients.
- Provide emotional support and act as a positive role model.
- Maintain accurate records of support provided.
- Requirements
- Experience in providing support for individuals with disabilities (Preferred but not essential).
- Compassionate and patient nature.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate .
- A valid Working with Children Check
- Must be a female (This is a genuine occupational requirement for the role).
- Must have experiencing working with children living with disability.
- Desirable:
- Certificate Ill in Individual Support or related qualifications.
- Previous experience working with children living with disability or in a similar role minimum 1year experience
- Must have full Australia drivers license and willingness to transport clients sometimes when needed.
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $37.00 – $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 15 per week
