Excavator Operators working on heavy industrial projects are responsible for the following daily tasks:
Maneuvering manual and hydraulic controls to excavate trenches, level land, and gouge out materials.
Loading loose dirt, rocks, and rubble efficiently into articulated haul trucks or conveyors.
Selecting and interchanging specialist tools such as bucket sizes, rock-breaking hammers, and sorting grabs.
Conducting thorough pre-start safety checks, reporting defects, and performing basic lubrication or refueling on the plant.
Interpreting site blueprints, adhering to GPS guidelines, and coordinating movements with ground spotters and site supervisors.
Employment Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years operating heavy earthmoving machinery in a large-scale construction or mining environment.
A valid Australian Driver’s Licence and a General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
Nationally recognized RII plant operator tickets (e.g., RIIMPO320F for excavator operations).
A "Standard 11" mining induction certificate and a Coal Board Medical clearance if applying for remote mining operations with Thiess
Pay: $7,400.00 – $9,500.00 per month
