The Role
The Village & Admissions Manager is responsible to manage all aspects of the retirement villages portfolio in accordance with the Retirements Villages Act 1999 (QLD) and other relevant legislative requirements, along with MiCare policies and procedures to ensure targets are met, and to assist in delivering high quality village services within the village operating budget constraints.
The role is responsible for tasks connected with the operations of retirement village units and apartments. These included, but are not limited to, re-sales of units and apartments, marketing, promotional and lifestyle programs for all our villages whilst adhering to budget requirement, ensuring grounds and buildings are maintained, development and implementation of MiCare’s policies and procedures, management reporting and liaising with a wide stakeholder base such as residents, service providers, government and industry groups.
Support the management team in the assessment of future residents and clients for all MiCare services and assist prospective residents by providing information and advice regarding accessing residential, community or another appropriate services.

Key Result areas

Maintain residential aged care occupancy at 95% or higher.

Maintain Supported Resident Ratio at above 40%.

Maximise Refundable Accommodation Deposits (RADs) opportunities.

Maintain occupancy for the village at 95% or higher.

Achieve budgets for the retirement village.

Ensure compliance to the Retirement Villages Act (Qld)
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications
-
A degree or diploma in a related area of expertise
Experience
-
Demonstrated knowledge of current industry standards and developments;
-
Previous experience in managing admissions into residential aged care;
-
Previous experience in retirement village property, or real estate with an emphasis on sales;
-
Ability to complete primary client assessment for aged care services;
-
Ability to develop strong working relationships within the team, resident and staff at all levels;
-
Understanding of budgeting processes. Demonstrated knowledge of market trends;

Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft suite of programs including high level experience in Excel, Word and Outlook; and
-
Working understanding of Work, Health and Safety requirements relevant to position.
