About the role
Permanent opportunity to support the safe and efficient management of the Loading Dock at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (RBWH), ensuring the delivery and despatch of essential clinical and non-clinical goods, waste, food, medical gases, biomedical services, patient support services, and linen. Responsibilities include assisting with the planning and management of Loading Dock operations, coordinating equipment repairs, overseeing medical gases, and managing service lifts to support the hospital's operational needs.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Maintain a high level of security for the Loading Dock area.
Assist in the management of traffic in the Loading Dock area. Allocate parking areas for authorised vehicles in the Loading Dock area and allocate short term parking for courier vehicles while deliveries are being carried out.
Assist in the management loading dock receiving areas and egress pathways ensuring that best practice, ergonomic efficiency, safety, and compliance with infection control protocols are consistently adhered to.
Conduct regular safety audits within the loading dock area to identify and rectify hazards and ensure compliance to all safety requirements.
