We are looking for a passionate, reliable and experienced Abacus Teacher to join our team at UCMAS Hoppers Crossing.
This role is ideal for someone who is already UCMAS qualified, or someone who has completed abacus training through another recognised abacus program anywhere in the world.
Even if you are not currently UCMAS qualified, we are open to considering applicants who have strong teaching experience. Suitable candidates will be assessed, and if successful, we will support them in becoming qualified under the UCMAS program.
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience teaching abacus or mental arithmetic
Has completed UCMAS training or another abacus training program
Enjoys working with children
Is confident, patient and engaging in the classroom
Can manage students in a positive and professional manner
Is reliable, punctual and committed
Is willing to complete UCMAS training if not already qualified
Key responsibilities include:
Teaching abacus and mental arithmetic classes
Supporting students with their learning and progress
Preparing for lessons and maintaining class structure
Motivating students to improve confidence, speed and accuracy
Communicating professionally with students, parents and the centre team
