About the Role
BreastScreen Northern Sydney Central Coast is one of the nine Screening and Assessment Services (SASs) of BreastScreen NSW which are geographically spread across 14 Local Government Areas.
BreastScreen offers a highly skilled, supportive and team-based work environment, where the staff are committed to the provision of quality Client care. We seek to attract medical staff who will be dynamic and committed clinicians, able to complement and support existing staff.
The Breast Physician role will include assisting radiologists to complete assessment procedures, such as breast biopsies, clinical breast examinations and assisting with providing results to clients. Priority wil be given to applicants with demonstrated expertise in breasts biopsies.
Purpose of the Position
You will provide clinical management and treatment of patients under your care in a Northern Sydney Local Health District facility or service. This care will be provided within the scope of clinical practice endorsed by the NSLHD Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee.
The position will provide clinical consultation services within NSLHD and will contribute to the teaching and training of medical students, graduates and other health care professionals and to research, evaluation and quality improvement activities within NSLHD.
